Goldfish Cracker
Actual conversation:
Alex: Daddy, can I have some goldfish (meaning the snack, not a pet)?
Me: Son, I told you Mom is on the way home and we will eat dinner in a little bit. Do you really think we should ruin your dinner?
Alex: No, I want to ruin some goldfish.
Me: (laugh hysterically while I get him some goldfish).
Alex: (smiles in delight that he gets the goldfish, unclear what Dad is laughing at).
My life would be so boring without my kids.
